ABOUT THE CLINIC
Welcome to the Turner Syndrome Clinic with Pediatric Endocrinology at Washington University.
We are excited to be able to offer this clinic for our patients with Turner Syndrome.
Our goal is to provide comprehensive, multi-service, coordinated, up-to-date care for each of our patients from diagnosis to transition to adult care.
Most patients will attend Turner Syndrome Clinic once or twice a year, with interim visits in our general Endocrine Clinic.
Prior to the appointment, you may receive a call to review any other appointments that may need to be coordinated for that visit.
Services that can be coordinated with your Turner Syndrome Clinic appointment include:
- Cardiology
- Renal
- Ophthalmology
- ENT
- Orthopedics
- OT, PT
- Social Work/Psychology
- Dietician (depending upon availability)
Services we can arrange at St. Louis Children's Hospital (not currently offered at the Specialty Care Center):
- Genetics
- Genecology
- DEXA Scans
- Cardiac MRI
- Psychiatry
During your first visit:
- You will have your vital signs taken.
- You will review our checklist of care with a member of our team.
- You will have a visit with a pediatric endocrinologist or pediatric nurse practitioner.
- You will have blood work and testing ordered if needed.
- We will make a plan for the next visit and answer any questions or concerns.
